Our broker/dealer has a structure unique to the industry where it is composed of regions, each independently owned and managed. BAR Financial is one of the largest and most successful regions of Financial Network. We are owned and managed by three Partners, who are also Regional Directors of Financial Network. For over twenty years, BAR Financial has helped develop relationships in nearly 100 financial institutions nationwide and has grown to include nearly 450 financial professionals.
BAR Financial originated as Talbot Financial Services, a division of Talbot Financial Corporation, a leading property and casualty insurance company that expanded into financial services by offering fixed annuity platform programs to financial institutions in 1987. In 1999, Talbot became a bigger player in the financial services industry by purchasing one region of Financial Network Investment Corporation – a region managed by John Brackett.
Over time, Talbot made additional acquisitions in the securities industry by purchasing a New Mexico region of Financial Network, and later T.H.E. Financial Group, a Pennsylvania broker/dealer managed by Anthony Tarantino and Eric Huck. In 2004 Talbot Corporation was acquired by HUB International, a publicly traded property and casualty insurance agency. In 2005, the executives of Talbot Financial Services were encouraged by the opportunity to acquire the business back from HUB International, a business they had been managing all along. The result is BAR Financial, LLC, an independent company owned and managed by three Partners: John Brackett, Anthony Tarantino and Eric Huck.
